Last night, newly reunited Britpop group Pulp played in the U.S. for the first time since the Nineties. And according to Rob Sheffield, it was undoubtedly a gig worth attending.

Pulp began their reunion tour almost a year ago, but it wasn’t until last night at New York’s Radio City Music Hall that the group reconnected with their American fans. The show began in a peculiar manner, with frontman Jarvis Cocker reciting lines from The Great Gatsby and throwing candy bars into the audience. Nevertheless, Pulp was able to make their two-hour-long performance a “lovefest.”
